In order to fully apply the results of basic medical research into clinical diagnosis and treatment of diseases, the concepts of translational medicine and precision medicine have gradually emerged in recent years. Biobanks are springing up across the country in hopes of bridging the divide. The lower the temperature at which the sample is stored, the closer it is to the state in vitro. For short-term storage, the -20 ℃ automatic storage system can be selected, but for strategically collected samples, because of the longer storage time, the -80 ℃ and -196 ℃ automatic storage system is commonly used.
The biological sample automatic storage system generally includes three basic working modules: sample receiving (or output), sample conveying, and sample storing (or outgoing). The hardware consists of a receiving area, an automated delivery mechanism (a robotic arm or a multi-degree-of-freedom linear motion module), and a cryogenic storage area (a refrigerator or a liquid nitrogen tank), all of which receive instructions from the sample management software.
KVM series deep low temperature stepper motor and KLS series deep low temperature linear motion module can be used for automatic storage and retrieval of sample kits in the frozen storage shelf of vapor phase liquid nitrogen at -196℃.
When filling liquid nitrogen, the temperature around the tank mouth is as low as -60℃, and the lid opening mechanism driven by KECM low temperature servo motor and PB series low temperature reducer can open and close normally at low temperature.
